Ahmet Güneştekin

Ahmet Güneştekin was born in Batman in 1966. He started painting at the age of six. He won an award at nine years old and held his first exhibition in Batman in 1982. After finishing his studies at Eskisehir University, School of business administration, Güneştekin moved to Istanbul. He has held over 90 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and art activities. His paintings can be seen in many collections in Turkey and abroad. In 2003 his solo exhibition “Karanlıktan Sonraki Renkler” was held in the Atatürk Cultural Center (Atatürk Kültür Merkezi). He started working as general art director on the TV program (TRT) “Haberci.” In 2005 he organized a TV program (TRT) “Güneşin İzinde” as author and director. In the same year, he founded the Petrol and Art Museum. Güneştekin currently continues his work at his workshop in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. He is a member of the Plastic Artists Association.
