Tülin Akgül

Tülin Yiğit Akgül was born in Balıkesir in 1969. She studied design at the Istasyon Art Academy. She then worked in the textile sector, primarily women’s outerwear. Akgül started designing in ceramic and glass sector and founded Aterlier Seramika in 1998. Since then, she has made ceramic and glass works. She participated in many classes of artists such as Rene Culler, Ed Schmid, Petr Novotny, Tim Shaw, Ben Wright and Vladimir Kline at the Glass Furnace Foundation. Currently, Akgül continues making glass works at the Tülin Yiğit Akgül Glass Studio & Gallery in Istanbul.
