Suna Selma Koçal

Suna Selma Koçal was born in Germany in 1968. She finished primary school in Germany and high school in Yalova, Turkey. In 1994 she started making ceramics. She also learned illumination works (tezhip) at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine under Prof. Dr. Süheyl Ünver Workshop and marbling works (ebru) from Hikmet Barutçugil. She received a certification on miniature from Nusret Çolpan. In 2004, Koçal served as a chair and one of founders of Yalova Workshop Association. She has published her works in several books and art catalogues. Koçal has had solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad: Japan, Canada and Germany.
