Şerif Günyar

Şerif Günyar was born in Denizli in 1958. He graduated from the State Applied Fine Arts School in 1982. He completed his doctorate at the Ceramic Department in the Faculty of Fine Art, Ankara University in 2006. He devised an original design for Gorbon Işıl Ceramic Factory in 1982. In the same year, he became a consultant to the Aksoy Ceramic Factory. He established his own ceramic workshop (Yortan Seramik) in 1986. In the cooperation with Cen Ajans, he produced the Anatolian Civilization series for the Turkish Ministry of Culture in 1987. Since 1981, he has had many solo exhibitions, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and fairs in Turkey and abroad.
