Salih Elhan

Salih Elhan was born in Kilis in 1937 and finished primary school. Since 1956, he has lived in Ankara. He started marbling (Ebru) art in 1984. He attended many classes to learn marbling from many teachers such as Fuat Başar. To make marbling, he used many materials, including wood, glasses and ceramics, besides papers. Since 1996, Elhan has taught marbling to over 1,000 art lovers. As of today, his students, who became professional marbling artists, have also given marbling classes. Elhan has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has also performed his marbling in many art fairs and attended conferences. His books on marbling art were published in 1984, 1998, 2003 and 2004.
