Yonca Gürsoy Küçümen graduated from the Painting Department of Vocational High School in 1980. She started painting miniature on drum skin at a special workshop. After working at the Yıldız Porcelain for a while, she continued her decoration work on porcelains at Ayla Ankara’s workshop for 8.5 years. In 1995 she founded her own workshop in Kadıköy. She designs Ottoman motifs in the 16th and 17th centuries and flowers on glazed porcelains such as sorbet pots, ewers, plates and coffee cups. Among 650 artists, Küçümen received honorable mention to her work in the competition of the International Convention Azzurra Handicraft Decoration which was held in Como in Italy. Her works are seen at boutique shops and evaluated by interior designers and sent as VIP gifts. She gives porcelain painting classes as well.
