Perihan Saka was born in Kastamonu in 1961. She graduated from a business high school. She had an education on sewing, embroidery, block printing and local weavings. Saka has an identity certificate as a master craftsman. She especially likes to make Sinibezi printings and weave kilims. In addition to it, she also makes accessories such as heybe (saddlebags) and other kinds of bags in different forms and sizes with kilim technique. As of today, Saka weaves kilims and teaches at the Handicrafts Research Institute in Kastamonu.
