Rasim Gözübüyük was born in Kayseri in 1931. After finishing Vocational High School, he went to England to learn techniques of making musical instruments. As well as techniques, he has had an interest in learning music. Gözübüyük worked at State Conservatory with a famous Turkish folk musician, Muzaffer Sarısözen, for two years. Besides being a Saz (reed) artist in TRT Ankara Radio, Gözübüyük also served as a technician in the British Embassy and the Turkish Electrical Association. After retiring in 1979, he started making miniature handicrafts. Because of being a good musician and his interest in musical instruments, Gözübüyük succeeded in making miniature musical instruments. His works have been exhibited in many introduction activities, which were organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. As of today, he works at his own studio.
