Esma Yeşim Uygur

Esma Yeşim Uygur was born in 1966. In 1985 she graduated from the Electric Department of the Izmir Vocational High School in Dokuz Eylül University. She worked at ON-KA (1986-1991) and Izmir Siemens (1992-1998). Uygur started illumination works when she participated in the class of Nihan Gürakan at Bek-Mek in 2002. Since 2004, she has continued to learn the skill of making the works of illumination under Nihan Gürakan and Şahin İnaloz at Zerefşan Nakışhanesi, which belongs to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Uygur also learns how to make miniatures at a class organized by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. She has participated in many group exhibitions.
