İlknur Seyhan

İlknur Seyhan was born in Akçaabat in 1970. She graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University in 1992. In the same year, she began working as a mechanical engineer in her father’s company. In 1997, she learned the work of “Kazzaziye” from the master craftsman and her husband, Hamdi Levent Seyhan. She developed her skill and became one of the most effective Kazzaziye masters in Trabzon. İlknur Seyhan also took an examination, which was held in a Vocational Education Center, and received a foremanship certificate on jewelry technology. As of today, Seyhan continues to make gold and silver Kazzaziye works in her family company. As a mechanical engineer, she developed the technology for knitting 0.08 micron-fine gold and fine silver wire thread. Their Kazaz works have become an important resource in the national and international market.
