Gülseren Özdal

Gülseren Özdal was born in Aydın in 1950. She worked as a government official between 1971 and 1995. She had an interest in handicrafts and took classes to learn embroidery works with tel kırma (embroidered with flat strip of metal) and iğne oyası. She became a master craftsman on them and began making her works. She is known for her works which are embroidered with Ottoman designs. She has participated in some competitions, which were held by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
