Emine Solak was born in Istanbul in 1978. She graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Anadolu University. In 2002, she learned calligraphy from Hüseyin Türkmen and Prof. Ali Alparslan in the Süleymaniye Library. She also took classes in marbling (ebru) art from Ayla Makas and Fuat Başar in the Caferağa Madrasa of Turkish Culture Service Foundation, and obtained her professional license from Fuat Başar in 2007. Later Solak learned illumination art (Tezhip) from Nilüfer Kurfeyz and Selim Sağlam in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Office of Secretary General Training Center at the Yıldız Palace. She has continued to learn illumination (Tezhip) art from Emel Türkmen. Solak has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has received several awards for her marbling works. Currently, Solak teaches marbling at Çembertlitaş Birlik Foundation, İSMEK Ümraniye and Beykoz brunches, and Nun Art Studio in Istanbul.

2007, Achievement award, the Turkish marbling art, 14th Turkish Embroidery Arts Competition, which was organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism
2007, Exhibiting award, the 14th Turkish Embroidery Arts Competition
2008, Runner-up prize, the Turkish marbling art competition, which was organized within the Water Year Activities of the Prime Ministry General Directorate of Foundation
2009, Exhibiting award, the Turkish Marbling Art, the 15th Turkish Embroidery Arts Competition, which was organized by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism
