Eda Şahan was born in Istanbul in 1975. She graduated from the Department of Illumination Art and Book Binding in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1998. In 1997, she studied paper restoration and book conservation at Palazzo Sipnelli in Florence, Italy. In 1998, Şahan participated in the education program “Art of Selling Art” at the University of San Francisco. She completed her master’s degree in art management at Yeditepe University in 2003. Since 1997, she has had solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, Şahan continues to work at her workshop in Istanbul.
