Ceylan Karaata

Ceylan Karaata was born in Turgutlu, Manisa in 1981. She graduated from the Department of Handicrafts in the Faculty of Vocational Education at Gazi University. She then completed her master’s degree at her alma mater. Her Master’s thesis was “The Contribution of Prof. Dr. Süheyl Ünver to the Education on Turkish Decorative Art”. She has developed her skills on making illumination, miniature and ebru under the expert, Havva Sökmener. Karaata has had many exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. As of today, she continues her works at her workshop and also teaches handicrafts and designs.
