Tevfik Türen Karagözoğlu

Tevfik Türen Karagözoğlu was born in İzmit in 1965. He graduated from the Ceramic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University  in 1994. He completed his Master′s degree at Dokuz Eylül University in 1994. He currently works as a tutor at Muğla University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Sculpture Department and continues his work at his workshop in Yalıkavak. Since 1988 he has had many solo exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Karagözoğlu has received many awards including a prize from Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Using raku technicque, he demonstrates and presents his artworks in various forms such as pottery, sculpture, and wall panels.
