Mehmet Ünal

Mehmet Ünal was born in Gördes in 1947. He finished primary and middle school in Gördes and high school in Manisa. In his childhood, Ünal started manufacturing natural dyes and weaving carpets, which was his father’s profession. Using natural dyes, he has woven Gördes carpets with traditional designs for 40 years.
