Candan Yörük

Candan Yörük finished İsmet Paşa Institute for Girls. She was a member of Turkish Handicrafts Promoting Association until its close. Yörük had made decorative objects for 25 years. The purpose of this association was to revive Turkish Handicrafts. With this purpose in mind, she designed and produced household textiles and decoration items combining together natural and regional materials with old and new Turkish embroideries. She decorated houses, boutique hotels and restaurants with her products and prepared gift goods and clothes with them. Yörük has had many exhibitions and introduced her handicrafts both in Turkey and abroad. She was one of the handicraft makers who were recognized by Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism for a long time.
