Belgin Gürhan was born in Manisa in 1959. She graduated from the Graphic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1983. After working as an graphic designer in different agencies, she started learning illumination art (Tezhip) and miniature in Ankara in 2000. Since then Gürhan has been painting miniatures and portraits of Ottoman sultans. Gürhan has participated in many group exhibitions. She received an achievement award in the 11th State Miniature competition. Gürhan has served as a miniature trainer in the Directorate of Sport and Culture at Ankara University since 2007. In 2014, with Memnune Birkan and Oya Kuyumcu, Gürhan exhibited her works in the exhibition "Mimar Sinan and his splendid times, miniature painting of Turkish artists," which was organized at the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw in Poland.
