Abdullah Aydemir was born in Erzurum, Horasan in 1974. He graduated from the Department of Traditional Turkish Handicrafts in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Atatürk University in 1996. While studying, he learned calligraphy from Abdulhâdi Erol Dönmez. In 1996-2001 Aydemir also learned illumination art (Tezhip) from Celalettin Karadaş. In 2001 Aydemir moved to Istanbul and continued working on calligraphy at the Library of Turkish and Islamic Applied Arts. In 2007, he obtained his professional license in sülüs and nesih scripts from A. Erol Dönmez. Since then Aydemir has taught illumination art at the Conservatory of Fine Arts belongs to the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. He has also taught calligraphy at the ISMEK since 2005. He has participated in many group exhibitions. Aydemir currently continues his work in Istanbul.
