Tuğrul Tülek was born in 1976. He graduated from the Department of English Teaching at Uludağ University in 1999. In the same year he started working as an actor at the Theatre of Bursa Foundation for Culture, Art and Tourism. In 2002-2006 Tülek studied at the Theater Department of Anadolu University State Conservatory. He went to Warsaw as an exchange student and studied acting at Akademia Teatralna im Aleksandra Zalwerowicza. In 2007-2008 Tülek performed the role of "Naz" in the play "Mercury Fur /Kürklü Merkür” in the Theatre DOT. He received the Best Supporting Actor Award for his performance in “Mercury Fur” in the 12th Afife Theater Awards. In 2008 he won Efes Pilsen Young Special Prize in the Sadri Alışık Theatre and Cinena Actors Awards. In 2013 Tülek started teaching acting at the Craft Acting Workshop. He also wrote a film script and directed a short film "Alışlanlıklar da Değişir" with Murat Şenöy. In 2015 Tülek was awarded the Best Supporting Actor of the Year in the 19th Yapı Kredi Afife Theatre Awards. He currently lives and works in Istanbul.
