Selin Altıparmak was born in Bursa in 1985. She graduated from the Theatre Department at Paul Valéry University in Montpellier in 2004. She completed her Master′s degree at the same university. While studying, she also studied at a theatre school, La Compagnie Maritime, directed by Pierre Castagné. In 2008 Altıparmak entered Strasbourg State Theatre Drama Collage, where she studied with renown tutors and directors such as Julie Brochen, Jean Jourdheuil, Jean-François Lapalus, Krystian Lupa, Caroline Marcadé, Laurence Mayor, Bruno Meyssat, Gildas Milin, Valère Novarina, Marc Proulx, Claude Régy, Jean-Pierre Vincent and Bernard Chartreux. After graduating from Strasbourg State Theatre Drama Collage, Altıparmak acted in a play entitled "Silsilename," which was staged in Paris, Théatre de l′Aquarium, and Berlin. She toured Alsace and Moselle region with the theatre Kolektif Notre cairn, which she founded with several friends. In 2013 She performed the role of Ann in Lars Noren′s play "Detay," directed by Çisil Oğuz. Altıparmak acted "Sarah Grimm" in the play "Ve Gece Sakin Olacak," staged by Amélie Enon in Paris, Théâtre de la Bastille in 2013. She teaches acting to children and women at the Acort Association in Paris. With Özgür Yıldız, Altıparmak prepared a documentary entitled "Etre comédien ou ne pas être" on Moda Sahnesi in Istanbul.

In 2014 Altıparmak directed a project "Titre Provisoire" at the La Compagnie S′en revient, which she founded. She acted in the play "Everyday I′m Chapulling" during the Voix de Femmes Festival in Belgium. She performed in the play "MaŞenka," directed by Çisil Oğuz, in the Istanbul International Theatre Festival. Altıparmak also acted in the play "Düğün," written by Bertolt Brecht and directed by Malvina Morisseau. She performed "Nuriye" character in the documentary film "Mutsuz Kadınların Sırrı," directed by Didier Roten and François Vivier. Besides being an actress, Altıparmak has written many articles on plays in various journals. She currently continues her work in Paris.
