Engin Alkan

Engin Alkan was born in Istanbul in 1965. He graduated from the Theater Department at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. In 1985 he started working as an actor at the City Theatre of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In 1996-2002 he taught acting at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University. In 2000-2002 he served as chair in the Theater Department at the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University. He taught acting at the Theatre Department of the Academy Istanbul in 2004 and Yeditepe University Theater Club in 2011-2012. Alkan has directed many plays in which he has also acted as an actor. He has received many awards for his performance. Alkan currently continues acting at the City Theatre of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
