Çisil Oğuz was born in Istanbul in 1990. She studied theatre at Université Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle (2009-2013) and Conservatoire Maurice Ravel in France. While studying acting at Conservatoire Maurice Ravel, she performed in the play "Grand Concours de Duo d′Acteurs," organized by the Studio Muller. In 2012, with Nadir Sönmez, she received a second place for their performance in Harold Pinter′s play "The Lover." Oğuz founded the Didaskali Theatre with Nadir Sönmez. As a director and actor, she has staged many plays such as  Marie Nimier′s "La Confusion," "Keşmekeş" (2012), "Detay" (2013), and "Maşenka" (2014). Oğuz currently works as an artistic director at the Illusionist-Istanbul Production Company as well as the Didaskali Theatre.
