Alev Gürzap

Alev Gürzap was born in Istanbul in 1936. She made her stage debut in Shakespeare’s “Storm” in 1946. She had acted “Mısırlı Afet” at Lüküs Hayat for 17 years. After retiring from Istanbul City Theatre, she has continued to act in several private theaters. She also has acted in many films and TV dramas. In 1997 she was nominated for the best comedy actress of the year with her leading role on the stage in “Oyun Karıştı”. In 1999 she was nominated for the Afife Tiyatro Prize with another actress İlkay Saran, who played the same role on the same stage.
