Selim Öztürk

Selim Öztürk was born in Istanbul in 1966. He started learning the guitar in 1983. The next year, he gave various concerts and recorded albums with the group Kolon, which he founded with his friends. In 1992, Öztürk founded the group Kargo and performed as a composer and guitarist. With Kargo group, Öztürk has released 7 albums including "Sil Baştan" (1993) and given numerous concerts. For his works "Yarına Ne Kaldı?" (1996) and "Yıldızların Altında" (2005), Öztürk received many awards including Golden Butterfly, Kral TV "Group of the Year," and MGD awards. He has also worked as an arranger and producer for many artists such as Athena, Tarık, Vega and Aslı, Yalın, and Göksel; and produced many albums. Öztürk currently continues his work in Istanbul.
