Ayça Aytuğ was born in Edirne in 1985. She began her piano education with Olga Hasanova at Trakya University State Conservatory in 1996. In 2003 she transferred to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory and studied with Prof. Hülya Tarcan. After graduating from the State Conservatory, Aytuğ completed Master′s and doctoral degree at the same Conservatory. In 2006 she received a fellowship and was accepted at the Birmingham International Piano Academy, where she studied with Prof. Malcolm Wilson, Robert Markham and Victor Sangorgio. Aytuğ joined master classes of famous artists such as John Lill, Boris Bloch, Rolf Plagge and Stephen Kovacevic. Aytuğ attended many piano competitions and received several prizes including first place in the Mimar Sinan Rotary Club (2001), third place in the Sedat-Güzin Gürel Foundation for Science and Art International Piano Competition (2002), and Jury prize in the Ferdi-LiliStatzer International Piano Competition (2003). Aytuğ revises piano section in the works for flute, edited by Vieri Bottazzini. She currently teaches as an Assistant Professor at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory.
