Alin Aylin Yağcıoğlu was born in Istanbul. She studied at Boğaziçi University. She also studied soprano with Gül Sabar and flute with Nazım Acar at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University. She sung in the TRT Istanbul Young Chorus and gave concerts in the Aksanat, Borusan Culture Art, Italian Culture Center and Yeditepe University. Yağcıoğlu participated in the CRR Concert Hall Chorus and sung many works of Turkish composers such as Adnan Saygun’s “Yunus Emre Oratorio”. Since 1999, she has been the soloist in the Surp Takavor Church Chorus. With the chorus, she participated in the Istanbul Music Festival in 2003; and the “Live together” concert series in the CRR Concert Hall and Atatürk Culture Center between 2002 and 2006. In 2007, she completed her master’s degree at Istanbul Technical University, MIAM program. Currently Yağcıoğlu teaches English and continues her doctoral degree with Lynn Trepel, who is an artist in the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, at Istanbul Technical University.
