Jehan Barbur

Jehan Barbur was born in Beirut in 1980. She spent her childhood in Iskenderun, Turkey until the age of 18. After graduating from the Department of American Culture and Literature at Bilkent University in Ankara in 2002, she moved to Istanbul to pursue her professional music career. In 2009 Barbur produced her first album "Uyan" and released it under the label of Ada Music. It has been followed by her albums including "Hayat" (2010), "Sarı" (2012) and "Sizler Hiç Yokken" (2014). She has given many concerts in Turkey. Besides her career as a musician, Barbur writes poems and short stories in many literary journals including "Kültür Mafyası." She published her first book "Çatıdaki Çimenler-Sen′e Yazıları" in 2013. (Alfa Publication) Barbur currently continues her work in Istanbul.
