İmge Tilif

İmge Tilif was born in Bursa in 1986. She started learning the violin with Kartal Akıncı in 1998 at the Izmir Dokuz Eylül University State Conservatory. She performed in many recitals with orchestras and chamber orchestras. In 2001, she won third prize in a violin contest, organized by Lions Club. In 2002, she attended International Youth Symphony Orchestra in Bremen. She attended International Ayvalık Music Academy and worked with Lukas David and Suna Kan. In 2004, she was accepted to Detmold Music Academy and studied with Lukas David. Tilif performed as a soloist and a member of Lukas David Ensemble in Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy, Austria and Thailand. In 2006, she played as duo with Lukas David and recorded works of A. Schnittke, J. N. David, and F. Treiber for the Berlin Rundfunk Radio. In the following year, Tilif performed Max Bruch′s Violin Concerto with Lünnecke Symphony Orchestra, Mendelssohn′s Violin Concerto with Detmold Chamber Orchestra, Yaşar University Orchestra, and with many chamber orchestras in Germany. As a soloist or a member of chamber orchestra, Tilif has been invited to various concerts in Turkey and abroad. In 2008, she performed as a concert master in the International Hannover Symphony Orchestra at their China Tour. As a concert master, she joined Hochschule Orchestra′s German concert tour, conducted by Sir Roger Norrington. In 2008, the Quartetto Con Fuoco, in which Tilif performed as a first violin, received the first award in a chamber music contest, organized by Detmold Music Academy. In 2007-2009, she performed as a first violin in the Detmold Chamber Orchestra, conducted by E. Fischer. In 2009, she joined Salzburg Mozarteum and studied with Pierre Amoyal. In 2011, she studied at Possehl Stiftung in Germany with a fellowship. Currently, she continues performing as a soloist or a member of chamber orchestra in Turkey and abroad.
