Göksun Çavdar was born in Vernon, France in 1974 and moved to Turkey with his family at the age of 11. He entered Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory, and studied clarinet with Tülay Örser and composition with Kamil Özler. Çavdar has performed for numerous concerts and albums of various Turkish pop artists such as Ajda Pekkan, Burcu Güneş, Candan Erçetin, Fahir Atakoğlu, Göksel Baktagir, Gürol Ağırbaş, Halil Sezai, Kenan Doğulu, Nil Karaibrahimgil, Mısırlı Ahmet, Ozan Doğulu, Sezen Aksu, Sıla, Volkan Konak, Zara, Zuhal Olçay, and Zülfü Livaneli. Çavdar is a member of the State Modern Folk Ensemble and Nabız and Ozan Doğulu Project. Çavdar currently lives and works in Istanbul.
