Ferhat Göksel graduated from the Clarinet Department at the Ankara State Conservatory in 1979. He completed his master′s degree in the same school in 1998. In 1982, he participated in the VII. National Music Competition, which was organized by Mimar Sinan University, and received the first prize in the category of Clarinet. In the same year, he joined Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, and became the first clarinet player in 1994. From 1988 to 1991, Göksel performed in summer concerts as one of the clarinet player in the Bilkent International Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 1992, he attended Musica Riva and worked clarinet and chamber music with Karl Leister. In the end of the master class, Göksel was selected as one of the successful students and performed in the closing concert.

Göksel has played in many festivals and music concerts in Istanbul, Ankara, and different cities in Turkey. He has performed as a soloist in various concerts with orchestras such as the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, and the Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra. He currently works as a solo clarinet player in the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.
