Coşkun Karademir was born in Istanbul in 1986. After graduating from a high school, he studied at the Turkish Music Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University for two years. He then continued his study at the Turkish Music Conservatory of Haliç University. Karademir learned bağlama for the first time at the Arif Sağ Music School. He then continued learning bağlama and Turkish folk music at the Erdal Erzincan Music Center for a long time. He has performed with Erdal Erzincan and his Bağlama Orchestra for various TV programs and concerts. Karademir performed as a bağlama player in the TRT Istanbul Radio, Turkish Folk Music Youth Ensemble, for 5 years. In 2006 he worked as a music director for the series "Altı Dilin Müziğinde Doğum ve Ölüm," which was a cultural project of The EU. Karademir has also performed bağlama for numerous TV series and documentary music under the Kalan Music company. In 2007 he performed with clarinetist Serkan Çağrı and made a documentary "Türkiye′nin 68′i."

Karademir has given numerous bağlama concerts at various universities and culture centers. He has also given many concerts with Mekteb-i İrfan Trio in Turkey. He currently teaches bağlama at Serkan Çağrı-Notist Music Education and Production Center. Since 2009 Karademir has been performing as a bağlama player for the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul State Turkish Folk Music Ensemble. With Emirhan Kartal, Karademir has released many CDs such as "Mekteb-i İrfan" (A.K. music, 2009), "Dönüş Yolu" (A.K. music, 2011), "Sırdaşk" (Kalan, 2012), and "Kerbela" (Kalan, 2014).
