Along with a long list of solo and chamber works, concertos, and symphonies, Tongur has written operas and musical accompaniment for several Shakespeare plays, all of which have been performed throughout Turkey and Europe. He conducted the Istanbul State Theatre Orchestra as well as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory Orchestra for many years.
