Cem Güngör

Cem Güngör was born in Ankara in 1982. He started studying the trombone with A. Bedii Durham at the Ankara State Conservatory in 1993. After graduating from the conservatory in 2002, Güngör began working as a trombonist at the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in numerous competitions and received many awards including third place in the Talented Children Competition (1995), mention award in the Europe Brass Competition (1997), second place in the Young Talents 2000 Competition (2000), and second place in the 4th International Young Musicians Chamber Music Competition (2001). Güngör has performed for recording CD, DVD, and Film music. He has had many opportunities to work with renowned trombonists. Besides performing in the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Güngör has performed as a soloist and guest artist in various national and international festivals and chamber orchestras.
