Bahar Biricik was born in Istanbul. She started violin with Giray Rasendos at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University in 1984. She completed her master’s degree with Venyamin Varsawsky in 1998. In 1994, she participated in the Pierro Farulli’s quartet master class at the Musicale Chigana Academy in Sienna, and gave her concerts in Italy. In addition, she joined the master class work with the state artist Ayla Erduran. In 1998, Biricik participated in a violin master’s class within the summer class of “Academia Internationale D’art Musicale” in Tour and worked with Victor Tretiakov. Within the series of the International Istanbul Music Festival Young Soloist, Biricik gave her recital and chamber music concerts. She has also performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Presidential Symphonic Orchestra, Istanbul, Izmir Bursa Region and Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra, Işık Chamber Orchestra, Mersin University Academic Chamber Orchestra and Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra. In the 25th International Music Festival, she played Vivaldi’s concerto for three violins with Suna Kan and Ayla Erduran, accompanied by the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, which was conducted by Gustav Kuhn. Currently Biricik is a member of Tekfen Philharmonic Orchestra and Trio Tema. She continues her doctoral degree with Prof. Suna Kan and serves as a researcher at the State Conservatory of Istanbul University.
