Azad Alizade was born in Baku in 1968. He started oboe at Baku Music School in 1976. He studied oboe at Baku Higher Music School from 1982 to 1987 and at Baku State Conservatory from 1987 to 1993. In 1990, he was accepted to the Prof. Pusecnikov’s class at the Moscow State Conservatory as a beneficiary student.

He won first place in the Azerbaijan Wind Instruments Contest in 1987 and won in the S.S.C.B countries Clarinets Contest in Moscow in 1991. Between 1993 and 1996, Alizade worked as a soloist in the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. Since 1996, he has served as a soloist in the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra. In 2007, he performed W.A. Mozart’s Oboe Concerto with Baku Philharmonic Orchestra, which was conducted by Rauf Abdullayev. Alizade has given many concerts as a soloist or a member of orchestra in Germany, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Georgia, Japan, North Cyprus, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.
