Ayla Uludere was born in Bulgaria in 1970. She started learning piano at the age of eight and flute at the age of eleven. After graduating from Hristina Morfova Conservatory in 1989, she completed her study in flute with Prof. Mükerrem Berk at the Flute Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory in 1991. In 1996 Uludere started working as a flutist in the Akbank Chamber Orchestra. In 2001 she received Prof. Jeni Zahriyeva Jury Prize in the International "World and Music" competition. Uludere served as a jury in several international music competitions such as the first International Young virtuoso Competition, organized by Lubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia (2004), and the 5th International Young virtuoso Competition (2009). In 2004-2013 she organized International Flute Summer Schools with Prof. Lidia Osavkova. Uludere became an Aassistant Professor in 2006 and Associate Professor in 2009. Assoc. Prof. Uludere serves as Chair of the Department of Winds and Percussion at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory.
