Aykut Köselerli was born in Ankara in 1985. He studied percussion at Bilkent University Music Conservatory and graduated in 2007 with Honors. Since then, he has performed with many leading orchestras including l’Orchestre National d’Île de France, Orchestre National Montpellier, Züricher Kammerorchester, New Japan Philarmonic, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, and Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and prominent conductors such as Rauf Abdullayev, John Axelrod, Gürer Aykal, Howard Griffiths, Jan Latham-Koenig, Antonio Pirolli, Emil Tabakov, Roberto Fores-Veses, and Johannes Wildner. Köselerli performed at the world premieres of Fazıl Say’s Piano Concerto No. 4, (June 2005) “Patara” Ballet Suite (February 2006), “1001 Nights at the Harem” Violin Concerto (February 2008) and the “Istanbul” Symphony (March 2010). He currently performs as a percussionist at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Orchestra as well as a soloist in many concerts in Turkey and abroad.
