Vahide Perçin was born in Izmir in 1965. After graduating from the Theater Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University, she moved to Ankara with her husband Altan Gördüm and worked at Ankara Art Theatre. She then worked at Adana State Theatre. Perçin has also acted in many films and TV series. In 2003, she acted in TV series “Bir İstanbul Masalı”. In 2007, she received the Best Actress Award in the 2007 Golden Boll Film Festival. Since 2013, Perçin has performed as Hürrem Sultan in the TV series "Muhteşem Yüzyıl." In 2014, she received the Best Actress award for her role in the film "Ayhan Hanım" in the 33rd Istanbul Film Festival.
