Sibel Kekilli was born in Heilbronn, Germany in 1980. She became famous for the role in Fatih Akın’s film “Duvara Karşı”. She acted in the film “Head-On” (Gegen die Wand), which was released in 2004, and received the Bambi prize for the best shooting star. In 2004, She was selected among the 100 important people in Germany. In 2006, she starred in the film “Eve Dönüş”, and won the Best Actress Award in the 2006 Antalya Altın Portakal Film Festival. In 2009, Kekilli acted in the Feo Aladağ’s “When We Leave”, and received the Best Actress Award in the 2010 Lola Prize of Germany. In 2010, Kekilli also won the “Bernhard Wicki Award” in Munich.
