Selda Alkor

Selda Alkor was born in Konya in 1943. After graduating from Manisa İsmet İnönü Vocational High School for Girls, she moved to Istanbul with her brother. In 1965, Alkor started acting in films when she won first prize in a competition, which was held by Ses magazine. Since then, she has performed in more than 90 films including "Güneşe Giden Yol" (1965), "Buzlar Çözülmeden" (1965), "Gelin Ayşem" (1969), "Asmalı Konak Hayat" (2003), “Hicran Sokağı 17 Numara (2007) and "Mahpeyker: Köşem Sultan" (2010); and many TV dramas such as "Çemberimde Gül Oya" and "Asmalı Konak". In 2016 Alkor received an honorary award in the 18th Flying Broom International Women′s Film Festival.
