Mehmet Dinler was born in Adana in 1928. After graduating from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University, he worked at a cloth factory in Bakırköy for a while. In 1960, Dinler started working as an assistant of Osman F. Seden in the film sector. He began his career as a film director when he directed the Osman F. Seden’s scenario “Cilalı İbo Zoraki Baba” in 1961. The film “Suçlu”, which he directed, was selected as the best third film in the 10th Altın Portakal Film Festival in 1973. Dinler has shot more than 82 films including the “Cilalı İbo” series, “Kara Duvaklı Gelin,” “Sinekli Bakka,l” “Ah Müjgan Ah,” “Ekmekçi Kadın," “Adana Urfa Bankası,” and “Zehirli Çiçek.” Dinler served as a jury in the category of long films in the 39th Altın Portakal Film Festival.
