Demet Evgar was born in Manisa 1980. She started her career at the Afsem Theatre, an amateur group, at the age of 17. She then debuted as an actress at Ray Cooney′s stage "Kaç Baba Kaç." Evgar graduated from the Theater Department at Istanbul University State Conservatory. While studying, she founded the Theatre Kılçık with her friends and worked as a playwright. She also performed in many plays in the Kenter Theatre. Evgar has also acted in many TV series and films such as "Aslı ile Kerem" (2002, TV series), "Bütün Çocuklarım" (2004, TV series), "Emret Komutanım" (2005, TV series), "1 Erkek, 1 Kadın" (2009-2015, TV series), “Banyo" (2005, film) "Beyza’nın Kadınları" (2005, film) and "Yahşi Batı" (2009, film). She has received many awards including the “Best Supporting Actress” in the 2005 Sadri Alışık Awards as well as in the 2005 Afife Theatre Awards, the “Best Comedy Actress” in the 2010 Golden Butterfly Awards and the 2012 Antalya Television Awards. Evgar currently continues working in Istanbul.
