Atıl İnaç was born in Ankara in 1975. After finishing his high school education in the US, he entered University of Missouri-Kansas City and studied Philosophy. He then graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Boğaziçi University in 1998. In 2000, he completed his master′s degree in Philosophy at Claremont Graduate University. In the US, İnaç worked as Branding Development Consultant for Pittard Sullivan Branding Film in LA and publication director in the DFH Network. After returning to Turkey, he   worked as a scenarist and director for TV series. He also worked as a producer for TRT. His hobby in jazz music led him to produce and host jazz-oriented radio shows on Acik Radyo, a prominent, private Turkish radio station. He also wrote articles on and did interviews with jazz musicians and jazz composers.

In 2007, he directed the first feature film "Zincirbozan." His third feature film "Büyük Oyun" (A Step into the Darkness) (2009) was premiered in the Montreal Film Festival. The film won "the Best Film" in the San Francisco Tiburon Film Festival and Los Angeles South Europe Film Festival. It was also awarded "the Best Film Music" in the Ankara Film Festival. In 2013, İnaç directed the film "Daire" (Circle). İnaç currently works as producer and director at Lacivert Film Production.
