Naşide Göktürk was born in 1965. She brought up in Büyükada (the largest Island in the Sea of Marmara) in Istanbul. She began writing poems at her young age. Göktürk released her first album "Yüreğim Rehin" in 1994. In a short time she became a famous artist. She released six albums including "Yüreğim Rehin" (1994), "Yüreğim Hâlâ Rehin" (1996), "Kan Kırmızı" (1998), "Kimsem Yok" (2000), "Unutmak İstiyorum" (2003) and "Çocukluğumu Uçuruyorum" (2016). Göktürk published seven books: "Sesimi Ateşe Verdim," "Daima," "Son Çaylar," "Yüreğim Rehin," "Mavi Mavi Sevdim Seni," "Tül Gibi," "Pırlanta Peri" and "Savrulurken Seni Buldum." Naşide Göktürk passed away in Bodrum in 2016.
