İbrahim Özoral was born in Istanbul in 1935. He studied singing at the Turkish Music Department of the Istanbul Municipality Conservatory in 1952-1956. During his military service, Özoral joined a military band. In 1957 he started working as a soloist and musician in the Air Force Band. He also taught solfege and playing the fagot at the school. In 1960, he performed fagot in Tarık Kip′s fasıl group in the TRT radio. Özoral then joined the Ankara Radio as an accordionist at the recommendation of İsmet Nedim. From 1960 to 1965, Özoral performed as a saz soloist in the Ankara Radio. He worked as a saz soloist and orchestra member at the Maksim Casino from 1965-1985. In addition to it, Özoral worked for film music: he worked as a music director at the Acar Film Company. He composed over 500 songs which were sung by famous artists including Zeki Müren, Behiye Aksoy, Emel Sayın, Bülent Ersoy, Gönül Yazar, and Bülent Oral. Özoral released 7 records and 2 cassettes. İbrahim Özoral passed away in Istanbul in 2016.
