Erdal Tosun was born in Istanbul in 1963. He was a son of Necdet Tosun, a "YeÅŸilçam" actor and brother of Gürdal Tosun, an actor. At the recommendation of Atıf Yılmaz, Erdal started his career as an actor and debuted in the film "Mine" in 1981. In 1985 he performed in a play of the Istanbul State Theatre. After graduating from the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University, Tosun founded the Özel Tiyatro with other members. Later, he joined the Antalya State Theatre. In 1992, he left the State Theatre and joined BKM oyuncuları. Tosun acted in many theater plays, films and TV series. He worked with many famous film directors such as Atıf Yılmaz, Yavuz Turgul, Yılmaz ErdoÄŸan and Ömer Faruk Sorak. Tosun passed away in Istanbul in 2016.
