Cenk Gündoğdu

Cenk Gündoğdu was born in Ankara in 1976. After studying at Economic Department and the Faculty of Fine Arts, he graduated from the Department of Stage Arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kocaeli University. His poems, prose, and talks have been published in many magazines and books. Gündoğdu works as an editor of "Üç Nokta" magazine, which he published with his friends in 2001. Since 2005, he has prepared annual collection of poetry entitled "Şiir Defteri" with Şerefe Bilsel. In 2013, Gündoğdu received Metin Altuok Poetry Award for his first poetry book "Issız." In 2016 he won a 2nd Dağlarca Poetry Award for his second poetry book "Harap." Gündoğdu currently lives and works in Istanbul.
