Tuba Ergin was born into a family dealing with textile and fashion industry for 3 generations in Istanbul. At the age of fifteen, she went to Chicago to pursue her studies. After finishing high school, she took fashion design classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2000 Ergin returned to Istanbul and continued her academic career by studying fashion marketing and design at La Salle Academy, while also working as a designer′s assistant at a local retail chain.
In 2002 she started working in the denim industry, creating collections for major European retailers such as Bestseller in Denmark. She worked closely with almost all the brands of the group:Jack&Jones, Vero Moda, Vila, Only, Inditex group and H&M. Working in the denim field, Ergin discovered a new dimension. In 2006 she started working as a designer for the denim brand "Bigstar/Colins." In 2007 she established her own design studio and atelier "Design Factory." Besides her design studio, Ergin worked for several brands to develop their collections and give creative direction in various international markets.
In 2010 Ergin established the brand "G.O.D.D" (Garden of Denim Design), a casual chic brand focused on innovation in developing finishings in leather, unusual materials and fabric mixes, while transforming the traditionals through technology. She presented her first collection during the ′White′ fair at the Milan Fashion Week. After two editions of ′White′ in Milan, she participated in ′CPH′ vision Copenhagen and ′Whos′s next′ in 2011. "G.O.D.D" is now distributed in selected boutiques and department stores in seven countries including Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Canada, Italy, Germany, Holland, Turkey and Lebanon.
In March 2013 Ergin showcased her new collection entitled ′Rêve′ as designer "TUBA ERGIN" at the Mercedes-Benz Istanbul Fashion Week in a studio presentation. In October 2013 she presented her 2014 SS collection entitled ′Earth Unknown′ in a runway show during MBIFW. In September 2013 Ergin opened her first boutique in Istanbul. March 2014 was her second runway presenting the collection ′GIGA-BITES′ her 2014-2015 FW collection. Ergin currently continues her work in Istanbul.
