Canan Yücel graduated from the Faculty of Law at Marmara University in 2007. In the same year, she entered Yıldız Technical University and continued her dance study with grants from P.A.R.T.S. Summer School and Jardin d’Europe in Brussels and Budapest. As a dancer, Yücel joined several projects such as Paula Frasz and Paul Philip’s choreographies, which was staged in the Istanbul Cemal Reşit Rey hall, Erdem Gündüz’s choreography “Vücud,” which was shown in the Montenegro Theatre Festival, Ayrin Ersöz’s project "To Dance or…," which was performed in the Ballhaus Naunynstrasse Theatre in Berlin, and the Festival Off Europa in Dresden and Leipzig. In 2012 Yücel participated in the EIM/Spring Dance Festival, held in Utrecht, as a choreographer with her project "My Motto.” She also participated in the Spring Dance Festival as a dancer as well as in “Slyphides,” which was choreographed by Cecilia Bengolea and Francois Chaignaud. Yücel continued her education at Folkwang Universität Der Künste Modern Dance Department in 2010-2011. She graduated as a top ranked student from the Dance Department of Yıldız Technical University in 2011. Yücel currently continues her Master′s degree in dance at the Dance Department of Mimar Sinan University.
